The Crosscutters stunningly rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth to overcome a late 3-1 deficit and pull off an exciting 4-3 win over the Brooklyn Cyclones on Saturday night. Williamsport has won four straight and eight of its last 10.
Two wild pitches by Brooklyn reliever Luis Silva brought in the tying runs for the Cutters. Then Kendall Simmons lifted a sacrifice fly to right that drove home the winning run with Corbin Williams racing in from third.
Bryson Stott had an RBI single in the game and Johan Rojas had a triple and a run scored in addition to making yet another terrific catch in center field as he raced down a deep-drive to the gap in left-center in the first inning.
Erik Miller threw 3 1/3 innings of three-hit ball, giving up two unearned runs. And lefty Brian Marconi retired six of seven batters he faced in the sixth and seventh to pick up a hold.
